I reclined on the bed in my hotel room in Florida unable to sleep. I decided to turn on the television and saw John McCain take the stage in Arizona. He began his concession speech to multiple boos. But he raised his arms and quieted them. He continued with his words and gave what is one of his most eloquent speeches. I commend him for his civility and nobility. He ran a poor campaign,no doubt. Let's remember that his test of character came thousands of miles away in a living hell when no cameras were present and no press to make his point. Was it not Christ who said that what we do in the privacy of our hearts will be seen by the Father? His eloquence is directly linked to his service to his country in a time that his country turned it's back on him and many others. This past week his country again turned it's back on him and those that "All gave some and some gave all." You know, Jeremiah Wright may have been right. God speed to OUR new president elect Obama.
